San Angelo Police have released the identity of the man who was found dead in the alley in the 2000 block of Lindell Avenue Monday as 23-year-old Edwardo Gavirio.
At 4:17 p.m. Monday, officers were dispatched to the south alley of the 2000 block of Lindell Avenue for an unconscious person. When they arrived, they located a dead man in the alley. Patrol officers started an investigation and Det. James Hernandez with the Criminal Investigation Division responded.
During the course of the investigation, the man was identified as Gavirio. Justice of the Peace Eddie Howard and pronounced Gavirio dead at 5:15 p.m. Gavirio’s approximate time of death was 4 p.m. Monday. Howard ordered an autopsy in the case.
The initial call came in to the police department from a citizen who lived in the area.
Police said at this time, no foul play is suspected in the man’s death. The case is still under investigation and there is no other information for release at this time.
