A San Angelo man who caused a crash in the Target parking lot Sunday afternoon was arrested for driving while intoxicated and for possession of illegal drugs.
According to Officer Alvarez with San Angelo Police Department, officers were dispatched to a crash at approximately 1:55 p.m. Sunday in the parking lot of Target, 4235 Sunset Dr.
After an investigation officers found that the driver of a silver Jeep Commander had made a too wide turn and hit a white KIA.
Because of the suspicious behavior of the driver of the Commander, officers decided to search his vehicle, where they found three packages of illegal substances.
The man was arrested and will be booked into Tom Green County Jail for driving while intoxicated, for being under the influence of a narcotic and for possession of less than two grams marijuana, Alvarez said.
No one was injured in the crash.
