The San Angelo Police Department received a call about a crash Sunday morning in the 800 block of North Baze Street.
According to Officer Brian Gesch, officers were dispatched to a major motor vehicle crash with injuries at approximately 11:30 a.m.
When they arrived at the scene, they discovered that a white Chevrolet was driving northbound on Baze Street and a white SUV was driving westbound on the access road when the crash occurred.
“The SUV failed to yield the right of way at the stop sign and collided with the Chevrolet,” Gesch said.
The driver of the Chevrolet was transported to Shannon Medical Center with unknown injuries.
The driver of the SUV got out of the incident with no injuries and at this moment it is unknown if she received a citation for failing to yield the right of way.
