One woman was sent to Shannon Medical Center after getting hit on Koenigheim St. Saturday afternoon.
Sometime between 12:30 p.m. and 1 p.m. Saturday a gold 2001 Mazda Protégé and a gray Ford Ranger collided in the intersection of West 1st Street and North Koeningheim Street, near Which Wich Superior Sandwiches.
According to Officer Blanco with San Angelo Police Department the northbound Ford Ranger was in the center lane when the Protégé failed to yield the right of way from 1st Street going westbound and was struck by the pickup truck.
The female driver of the Protégé went to Shannon hospital with minor injuries. She was sole occupant of the vehicle.
The Ford Ranger had two passengers with no injuries.
The female driver of the Protégé received a citation for failure to yield the right-of-way.
