Crash on Bryant Boulevard sends one person to hospital

One person was transported to Community Medical Center by ambulance after a two vehicle crash Sunday afternoon.

According to Officer Alvarez he was heading down South Bryant Boulevard at approximately 3 p.m. Sunday, when he came across a two vehicle crash in the intersection near KFC of West Avenue N and South Bryant Boulevard.


After further investigation he discovered that the black Ford F-150 pick up truck was traveling north on South Bryant Boulevard and the blue Ford Mustang was traveling east on West Avenue N when the F-150 ran the red light and struck the Mustang on the passenger side.


The young female in the F-150 sustained injuries in her shoulder from the seat belt, but did not need to go to a hospital. The female driver of the Mustang suffered bruising on her arm and foot and was taken to Community Medical Center as a precaution.


The driver of the F-150 was issued a citation for driving on red light.
