After a few days of temperatures in the 70s and 80s, cooler temperatures are in store for the Concho Valley behind a cold front that moved into the area overnight Tuesday into Wednesday morning.
Highs will be in the low-60s to mid-to-high 50s through Sunday with lows in the low-30s.
Elevated fire danger exists in the Concho Valley Wednesday as winds are expected to be at 10-20 mph with a low relative humidity. Anyone planning outdoor activities should use caution as wildfires can spread rapidly in such conditions.
A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms will move into the area Friday night and extend into Saturday morning.
