ComicCon will return to Foster Communications the weekend of October 13-15.
The event will include vendors, celebrity question-and-answer sessions and autograph signings, cosplay contests, and video game, board and card tournaments.
There will also be a Mario Kart Deluxe 8 gaming tournament, demonstrations, card and board games from The Gathering Place, and vendors showcasing toys, games, anime and collectibles from throughout the U.S.
Special guests to attend ComicCon will include Chris Sabat, voice of Vegeta from the “Dragon Ball” manga series; Sean Schemmel, who voices Goku from “Dragon Ball”; and Johnny Yong Bosch, who played various Power Ranger roles in the “Power Rangers” franchise and has had numerous voice-over roles for videogames, as well as anime and Japanese manga shows.
Fans will have the opportunity to meet these celebrities and get autographs and photos during the panel Q&A sessions.
During the last 2 days of the event there will be a costume contest and trick or treating for children 5 and under.
This will be San Angelo’s second ComicCon and the cosplay of the attendants seems to draw in the most attention.
ComicCon will be held at 50 E. 43rd Street. Passes are between $10 and $25 at sanangelocomiccon.com but will increase at the door on the days of the event.
It will occur from 6-9 p.m. on Oct. 13, 10:30 a.m.-7 p.m. Oct. 14 and noon-6 p.m. Oct. 15.
