Cold front moving in will bring rain and cooler temperatures to the Concho Valley

A cold front is expected to move into the Concho Valley by 10 a.m. Saturday, according to the National Weather Service in San Angelo. The front will bring a 60 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms into the area along with a cooling trend with a high of only 82 Saturday and a low of 65.

Sunday will be mostly sunny with a high near 88 and east northeast winds blowing at 5 mph. Sunday night will be partly cloudy with a low near 68 and calm southeast winds.

Moving into the work week, Monday will be sunny with a high near 93 with south winds at 5 to 10 mph. Monday night will be partly cloudy with a low near 70.

On Tuesday, rain chances return with a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms and a high near 90. Chances for showers and thunderstorms increase to 40 percent Tuesday night with a low of 69 expected.

Rain chances and high temperatures in the 80s round out the rest of the week.
