The City of San Angelo website has launched a new page serving as community clearinghouse for information regarding health offerings.
The page is called FitCity San Angelo and can be found at cosatx.us/FitCity.
According to City of San Angelo’s press release, the goal is to inspire citizens to live a healthier lifestyle by taking part in events and educational programs promoting stronger minds, bodies and spirits.
FitCity San Angelo currently includes information about the H-E-B Community Challenge, Crazy Desert Trail Race on March 12 and West Texas Hunger Summit on March 26 and is managed by Healthy Communities Coordinator Kristyn Ward.
Mayor Dwain Morrison’s Wellness Partnership, a network of individuals and organizations working toward a healthier and more vibrant community has been the driving force of the page.
Information about local health offerings can be emailed to email@example.com.
