SATV, the City of San Angelo’s government access channel, will now be broadcast in high-definition on Suddenlink cable channel 117.
The City’s Public Information Office, responsible for content on SATV, has been shooting video in high-definition for more than five years. Recent upgrades and changes to Suddenlink’s cable infrastructure made a high-definition channel available to broadcast SATV.
“The City is fortunate to have one of the state’s top municipal videographers in Brian Groves. Now our television audiences can join our online viewers in watching his work in a pristine, crystal-clear format,” Public Information Officer Anthony Wilson said. “That high-def content will also include live broadcasts of City Council meetings and of special events, such as Thursday night’s police chief and City Council candidates forum.”
SATV will continue airing in standard definition on Suddenlink channel 17 as well. An online stream of the channel is also available at cosatx.us/watch.
