The City of San Angelo is seeking public input on adopting a new logo.
Tuesday, the City Council approved 14 possible logos, including the current one (in use since 2003) for citizens’ to vote on in an online survey.
The survey is available cosatx.us/LogoSurvey. More than 130 responses had been received by early Thursday.
The survey will be conducted through Jan. 2. Citizens can vote up to once per day. The winning choice will be announced at a City Council meeting early in 2016.
No public funds have been or will be spent on the effort, according to City of San Angelo Public Information Officer Anthony Wilson. Designs were crafted by citizens who submitted them or by artists for McLaughlin Advertising, which did not charge the City for their work. If a new logo is adopted, it would be phased in as assets (vehicles, uniforms, letterhead) are retired or exhausted.
