The San Angelo City Council meets Tuesday for its regularly scheduled meeting. On the agenda is a $1.75 million renovation for the 29th Street Sports Complex. The money comes from the half-cent sales tax approved by voters in 2010. Right now the complex is leased property from the U.S. Corps of Engineers. The property was once home to the San Angelo Girls Fast Pitch Association. Today it is used by the Northern Little League for a practice field.
Council will be presented with two renovation options. One of them suggest renovating the complex to serve as a home for the Northern Little League.
According to a report presented to council, the estimated annual revenue from the complex would be between 18-22 thousand.
