Child Pornography Close to Home as Investigation Continues

An update from the San Angelo Police Department declares that the investigation continues.

 

Detectives with the San Angelo Police Department are rigorously invesigating serious allegations of child pornography.

The initial investigation was opened in July 2017 when San Angelo Police received a report of child abuse involving a 13-year-old girl.

The alleged suspect being Ringo V. Garza, 35, of the band “Los Lonely Boys” in San Angelo.

Investigators applied for a Search Warrant for a home in the 6000 block of Ranch Lane.

The warrant was granted, as the residence listed was the suspected place where Police would locate evidence of child pornography.

On July 24, 2017, the Search Warrant was executed by members of the San Angelo Police Department’s Crimes Against Children Unit along with United States Homeland Security.  During the search, Investigators located and seized electronic devices.

Possession of Child Pornography is a 3rd Degree Felony.

This is an ongoing investigation and because of such, no additional details can be released at this time.

There have not been any formal charges brought against Garza as of yet.
