The proceeds will go toward repairing a portion of their building that sustained damage three weeks ago when a man backed his truck into a corner of their building and then took off.

Junior Wise Commander for VFW, Michael Middlebrooks, said the money would also go towards general maintenance of the old building.

After donating five dollars people could choose from a buffet of pancakes, sausages, oranges, bananas, milk, coffee, water and apple and orange juice.

“We do not have a set number of how much we want to raise, but the deductible for the damages that were done to one of the corners of the building is $1000” one of the volunteers and Chairman of All Veterans Council, Tony Ramirez said.

According to VFW Club Manager, Alisa Piteo, 109 people showed up to the event.
