Hundreds attended the second Biggest Darn Garage Sale, hosted by Four R Broadcasting, in the San Angelo Stadium parking lot Saturday.
About 150 vendors set up tent for the event before 7 a.m. and many said they had been looking forward to the event for several months now.
“We’ve got bunk beds, baseball trading cards, clothes, workout equipment and even some original artwork,” vendor Maricela Regino said. “This is our very first time setting up here and it’s something that we’ve enjoyed as far as we’ve been here. It’s something we would love to come back to and do again.”
Vendor Tamera Ramsey said the crowd and exposure is what made her want to set up a booth for her home jewelry line.
“So many people come out here, and it’s really great for business” Ramsey said.
While shopping various booths that included everything from clothes, candles, homemade birdhouses and more, shoppers enjoyed food trucks and live music provided by Lonestar 92.9 and 106.1 MDX.
“I honestly think the music and food are the best part,” shopper Natalie Gomez said. “Not only am I getting great bargains on a lot of items, but I’m truly getting to enjoy my time here.”
The event is free to the public and will continue until 3 p.m. The event sold out of vendor booths at its inaugural appearance in May.
(Editor’s note: Four R Broadcasting, the host of this event, is the parent company of San Angelo NOW).
