‘Bambi’ artist, Disney legend dies at 106

The man whose style of drawing inspired the Disney animated film “Bambi,” Tyrus Wong, died Friday at the age of 106.

As reported by USA TODAY, the Walt Disney Family Museum announced Wong’s death on its website.

He worked with Disney for three years, leavingĀ  in 1941. From there, he worked as a concept and story artist at Warner Brothers for 26 years before retiring in 1968. In 2001, Disney granted him the title of Disney Legend and the museum put his work on display in 2013.
