Autopsy results released for infant death

Autopsy results for a nine-week-old infant boy who died after he was found unresponsive by his caregiver at an in-home daycare Monday have been released by the San Angelo Police Department.

A report from the medical examiner in Lubbock shows the infant died of natural causes and Justice of the Peace John Paul McGuire, who responded to the investigation, has declared the findings of the infant as a natural death.

The infant was transported to Community Medical Center by ambulance Monday after found unresponsive by his caregiver who operates a licensed in-home daycare center.

No foul play was found by responding investigators or officers at the scene.
