ASU’s wool judging team brings home reserve champion distinction

The wool judging team from Angelo State University received reserve grand champion at the 2016 National Western Stock Show Intercollegiate Wool Judging Contest in Denver, Colorado. The team scored 2,032 points and finished in second place for the reserve grand champion spot.

Team members are Kyrsten Gibson, Tyler Davidson, Emily Dyes, Dalton Buchholz, Macye Boyd, Ashleigh James and Sterling Goolsby.

Gibson placed first overall individually and received first place in total grading and second in total placings. Davidson placed ninth overall and received fourth place in total placings and seventh place in total reasons. Boyd placed 10th and received first place in total placings.

The team will compete in the San Antonio Livestock Show & Rodeo Feb. 13.
