ASU’s clarinet choir to perform fall concert

Angelo State University’s clarinet choir will perform its annual fall concert at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 1, in the Carr Education-Fine Arts Building, 2602 Dena Drive. 

The concert will take place in the Eldon Black Recital Hall and is free and open to the public.

The musical program will include “French Suite” by Yvonne Desportes, “Sleep” by Eric Whitacre and “Quartet for Clarinets” by Jean Absil. These pieces will be performed by ASU students Paige Geiselman, Luis Gomez, Samantha Howell, Belia Nelson and Alexandria Newton.

“Histoire du Tango” by Astor Piazzolla will be performed by students Mario Cardenas, Luis Gomez and Mario Martinez.

The choir is directed by Dr. Timothy Bonenfant, associate professor of music, who will accompany the students on bass clarinet.
