ASU Day at the San Angelo Stock Show & Rodeo set for Feb. 4

Angelo State University’s ASU Day at the San Angelo Stock Show & Rodeo is planned for Feb. 4, beginning with the annual rodeo parade featuring representatives from several ASU offices and student organizations and ASU President Brian J. May.

The San Angelo Fairgrounds midway will be decorated with ASU flags, and ASU student RAMbassadors will greet attendees of the matinee rodeo performance. ASU faculty and staff will be in attendance and ASU’s live Rambouillet ram mascot, Dominic, will be available on the arena floor for photos after the rodeo performance.

At the 7:30 p.m. rodeo performance, ASU student-athletes and ASU Student Government Association members, ROTC Detachment 847 and other student organizations will greet attendees and distribute free souvenir ASU footballs for a few attendees.

Admission to the fairgrounds is free Feb. 4 to all ASU students, faculty and staff who are wearing their ASU gear and show campus ID cards.

ASU will be providing Ram Tram shuttle service for students from the campus to the fairgrounds and back from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m.
