Assault on San Angelo man lands three juveniles into custody

The San Angelo Police Department responded to a report of a stabbing at approximately 7:52 p.m. Tuesday  on the 1400 block of Volney Street. When police officers arrived on the scene, the victim, 36-year old Jesus Carrasco told officers he had been assaulted.Carrasco told police he had been assaulted by three juvenile males. The juveniles were located on the 200 block of East 12th Street and were taken into custody without incident.

Carrasco told officers he had been walking down the street when the juveniles approached him. He said the juveniles started to assault him and one of them pulled out a knife and cut the his arm and head.

Carrasco used to be in a relationship with one of the juvenile’s mother and told police he felt this was the reason for the assault on him.

Det. Chegwidden responded to conduct an investigation at the scene. A 13-year old male was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and the two 15-year old male juveniles were charged with assault causing bodily injury. The three juveniles were transported to the Juvenile Justice Center.

Carrasco’s injuries were non-life threatening.
