AP: Garland police searching for driver in fatal hit-and-run

GARLAND, Texas (AP) — Police in the Dallas suburb of Garland are searching for a driver who fled after fatally striking a pedestrian trying to cross the street.

Garland police say that the hit-and-run happened Saturday evening. Investigators are working to identify the woman who was killed.

Police say that witnesses told them that a person driving a gold Ford Mustang with a black convertible top hit the woman as she tried to cross the street.
