The Angry Cactus Bar and Grill held a groundbreaking Thursday at an historic building in downtown San Angelo. Owner Tim Condon is bringing new life to an old vacant building with an over-the-top decor. The building, located at 1 W. Concho Ave., has been vacant for more than 30 years.
Condon said he plans on building a 40-foot waterfall in the restaurant that will have two levels of seating. The space will hold approximately 130 people.
The menu, just like the design, was created to impress customers with items such as venison chicken fried steak.
Condon said he is taking West Texas favorites and refining them. He also plans to bring live music from around the world to his restaurant. The time frame for completion is eight to nine months.
