Fort Concho National Historic Landmark, 630 S. Oakes St., will host the American Plains Artists’ annual Juried Exhibit & Sale from June 30 to Aug. 7.
The showing’s opening reception will be from 6 p.m.-9 p.m. June 30.
The celebration of “Art of the Plains,” featuring approximately 100 two-dimensional and 15 three-dimensional realistic and representational artworks in traditional media is open to the public. Works will depict the American Great Plains’ wildlife, people and ways of life in historical and modern times. The show’s artwork will be rendered by nationally recognized award-winning artists from across the United States.
The awards juror is Garland A. Weeks, who sculpts a multitude of subjects from astronauts to cowboys.
