AMBER ALERT: DPS looking for 1-year old boy kidnapped in Andrews (ALERT DISCONTINUED)

UPDATE: The Amber Alert has been discontinued. Texas Rangers have located the child.

Iviz was reported safe. Initial reports say Edwin Rascon was still on the run at the time Iviz was located late Friday.

ORIGINAL STORY: The Texas Department of Public Safety is looking for Iviz Rascon, a one-year old Hispanic boy, wearing a blue shirt and a diaper.

Iviz is 30 inches tall and weighs 34 lbs with brown hair and brown eyes.

Police are looking for 19-year old Edwin Rascon in connection with Iviz’s abduction. Rascon is a Hispanic male, and is 5 feet 10 inches tall weighing 190 lbs with brown hair and green eyes. He was last seen wearing black jeans, a black shirt and a white hat.

The suspect is driving maroon or red 2006 Chevrolet Cruze or Malibu with a paper tag. He was last heard from in Andrews.

Law enforcement believes the child to be in grave or immediate danger.

Today at approximately 11 a.m., Texas Rangers were called to respond to a shooting of an adult male that occurred near 1744 SE 5001 in Andrews. Preliminary reports show that Rascon has been identified as a suspect in the homicide investigation in Andrews County. Rascon then took his infant son without permission and the Amber Alert was issued. No additional information is available at this time.
