Angelo State University will host an Alzheimer’s disease and dementia care seminar entitled “Abilities Care Approach,” April 26.
The seminar will be held from 4:30 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. in ASU’s Mathematics-Computer Science Building, 2200 Dena Drive.
The department of physical therapy will host the seminar and the featured speaker/instructor will be ASU alum Jon Anderson. Anderson is a licensed physical therapist and accredited dementia care instructor for Ensign Services Inc. in San Antonio.
Various topics related to Alzheimer’s disease, dementia and other cognitive disorders will be discussed.
This seminar is free and open to the public, but geared toward healthcare professionals. Physical therapy clinicians and faculty can earn two hours of continuing competence units (CCU) credit.
