Alcohol & Drug Abuse Council will break ground for new facility Wednesday

A groundbreaking ceremony for the Alcohol & Drug Abuse Council for the Concho Valley’s new facility will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday on the 3200 block of US 277 N. The Journey Recovery Center expansion will allow ADACCV to add residential detox services with accommodations for up to 12 clients. The consolidation of residential treatment services to one location will double the center’s residential treatment capacity by providing 30 male beds and 18 female beds.  A release from ADACCV said the local facility is one of the few women’s programs in Texas which allows women to bring their children with them while receiving services.

The total campaign goal is $6 million and the capital campaign will continue until ADACCV raises $1 million for an endowment fund.
