Aggravated robbery charge for man who stole drugs from CVS

After wielding a knife and stealing prescription medication from a local pharmacy, a 28-year old man ended up behind bars.

Christopher Salmon was arrested for aggravated robbery after the incident at the CVS Pharmacy at 318 W. Beauregard Ave. A CVS employee reported to police that Salmon displayed a knife and demanded to be given the medication or he would kill the employee.

Salmon then left the store with an undisclosed amount of prescription pills. The employee was not hurt in the robbery.

Officers responding to the scene were able to find Salmon leaving the area on foot in the 400 block of West Beauregard Avenue. Salmon was taken into custody without incident.

A release from the SAPD said that officers were able to locate Salmon quickly because of citizens pointing out the direction he left from the store.

Det. L Dye conducted the investigation.

Salmon was booked into the Tom Green County Jail.
