The Alcohol & Drug Abuse Council for the Concho Valley is gearing up for its 1st Annual Spring Luncheon & Silent Auction.
The event will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, April 20, at Stephens Central Library in the Sugg Room. Tickets are $25 each. RSVPs are required by Tuesday April 11.
The program will feature Cathey Brown, founder and CEO of the nationally recognized nonprofit organization, Rainbow Days. In her presentation, Journey to Joy, Brown will share her personal story of recovery and her insights about how the paths we choose in life can have profound ramifications. An update on ADACCV’s expansion project, The Journey Recovery Center will also be provided at that time. Lunch will be catered by Kenny Blanek’s Village Café.
ADACCV, is a private 501(c)3 non-profit agency, serving the Concho Valley community with “education, prevention, intervention and treatment of substance abuse issues.” Proceeds from the 1st Annual Spring Luncheon & Silent Auction will benefit ADACCV’s capital campaign to expand services. This expansion, the Journey Recovery Center, consists of adding residential detox, consolidating treatment services to one location and doubling the residential treatment programs for men and women and their children.
