55-year-old San Angelo man dies after car pins him

A 55-year-old San Angelo man died Wednesday morning after he was pinned beneath a vehicle.

According to the San Angelo Police Department, at about 9:45 a.m., the SAPD responded, along with the San Angelo Fire Department, to the 1300 block of Coke Street regarding to an unconscious man that was not breathing.

Patrol units found the man pinned underneath a passenger car and he was unresponsive. Citizens and patrol officers worked to free the man so that he could be treated.

Once he was freed, the man was transported to a local hospital, where he died.

According to the SAPD, the incident is being investigated as an accidental death and no foul play is suspected.
