At approximately 6 p.m. Saturday March 5, there was a three-vehicle crash involving a family of six near Target and Best Buy at the intersection of Sherwood way and Sunset Drive.
Acting supervisor for the San Angelo Police Department, Officer Rick Tinsley, said the white Dodge Journey and white Buick Rendezvous were standing still at the light when a silver Dodge Durango hit the Journey, resulting in it rolling forward into the Rendezvous. All three vehicles were traveling southbound on Sherwood Way.
According to Officer Tinsley the driver and passenger in the Durango walked away from the crash with no injuries.
The Journey consisted of a family of six, two adults and four children, and the Buick had only a driver. The occupants of these vehicles received non-incapacitating injuries and very minor bumps and bruises. No one was sent to the hospital.
The driver of the Dodge Durango was cited for failure to control speed.
