3 ASU ROTC cadets receive scholarships totaling $25K

Three Angelo State University Air Force ROTC Detachment 847 freshman cadets were awarded three-year AFROTC Type 2 scholarships totaling approximately $25,000 from the AFROTC In-College Scholarship Program.

Bailey Champlin of Killeen, Cody McCallum of San Angelo and Mason Tindle of Abilene were nominated for the scholarships by Detachment 847 commander Lt. Col. Scott Partin. The scholarships will cover college tuition and most fees. They also include textbook allowances.

The cadets are three of the 221 nominated by Air Force ROTC commander for the program. Sixty-two cadets total were selected to receive the scholarships.
