1 jailed, 1 wanted for vehicle burglary turned robbery at mall

San Angelo Police Department Criminal Investigations Division detectives obtained arrest warrants for two 18-year-old San Angelo men, Desmond Joshua Dixon and Bentley Green, for their roles in a robbery that happened just before 4 p.m. in the Marshall’s parking lot, 4001 Sunset Drive, on Feb. 17.

Police were called to the scene on Feb. 17 to investigate the report of a vehicle burglary turned robbery. When they arrived, they located a 40-year-old female victim who was suffering from apparent minor injuries she received when she was struck by the suspect’s vehicle.
San Angelo Fire Department paramedics treated the victim at the scene.
The victim told officers she left Marshall’s and found an unknown man burglarizing her vehicle. After confronting the suspect, the man reportedly ran off and got into a red/maroon-colored Honda passenger car nearby that was being driven by another man.
The vehicle then hit the victim as it left the parking lot. Witnesses at the scene confirmed the victim’s story and reported the suspect vehicle was last seen headed towards the Target shopping center.
Investigators later identified Dixon and Green as persons of interest and recovered some of the victim’s stolen property. After investigation, investigators applied for arrest warrants for the two men.
