18-year old indicted for two counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child

Christopher Partida was indicted by a Tom Green County grand jury March 15 on two counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child in connection to two separate sexual encounters on Jan. 4 and Jan. 6, 2016, with a child younger than 14-years old.

According to court documents, a San Angelo Police Department officer was dispatched to the 400 block of Baker Street and was able to determine that the victim had sexual intercourse with Partida.

Through further investigation, officers learned Partida was 18 and the victim was 13. The victim told police in an interview that on Jan. 4 and Jan. 6, they went to Partida’s home. The victim was able to describe to police the bed linens and told police what Partida was wearing on the first visit and had pictures on a cellphone to prove it. The victim also told police they were 12 when they initially began talking to Partida.

The victim allegedly knew Partida was 18. According to a court document, Partida thought the victim was 14.

Partida admitted to the incidents in a police interview. He was also wearing the same clothes as in the pictures taken on Jan. 4.

The court has instructed Partida to have no contact with the victim. He is currently in the Tom Green County Jail on a $40,000 bond.
